Lektion : Different forms/types of language

In this lesson the teacher will explain to the students the difference between formal and informal language. Moreover, the lesson will extend to cover the difference between slang words and swearwords.

The lesson starts with explaining the definitions of the four types of language. They can be found in the document that accompany this lesson. Then the teacher will write a discussion topic on the whiteboard, and divide the class to four groups. Each group will discuss that topic with one of the four language types.

The lesson primarily aim to enhance the students ability to distinguish the different forms/types of language. Furthermore, it allows them to avoid slang, swearwords and informal language when they undertake a formal essays writing.
