 This works well to practice speaking skills.  Place cards face down. When it is his or her turn to play, the student picks a card from the pile and must talk about the situation on the card for at least 20 seconds. If the student fails, he or she remains on the same square and picks another card next turn. If the student makes it, he or she can keep on going at the next round.  I use a basic game board with tokens so the students can compete against each other.
